Clear Conveyor Jams Easily and Safely without Damage
Our Jam Break Poles (also known as Shepherd's Hook) are specifically designed to be a long-lasting, safe and sturdy alternative to "homemade" jam break poles commonly used in airports, parcel facilities and distribution centers. Makeshift tools damage goods, injure employees, break easily and are costly to repair.
Globe's composite jam break pole is designed to handle the demanding rigors of baggage handling, parcel facilities, warehouses and fulfillment centers. The head is made of Globe's Brandonite® elastomeric material to provide years of trouble-free use.
The standard length of the pole is 8' (244 cm) and available in either 1" (2.5 cm) diameter or the heavy duty 1-5/16" (3.3 cm) diameter version.
Globe's jam break pole comes in three models:
- Heavy Duty: 7" (17.8 cm) tall x 7-1/4" (18.4 cm) wide rounded head significantly reduces package damage and provides an ergonomic solution to increase operational performance and worker safety. The head is made of Globe's Brandonite® elastomeric material to provide years of trouble-free use.
- Small Package Light Duty: For lighter duty applications, we offer the small sort jam break pole that has a 5" (12.7 cm) tall x 2" (5.1 cm) wide Brandonite® head and comes in 2' (70 cm), 3' (91.4 cm) or 4' (121.9 cm) lengths.
- Shoot Poker for Roller Conveyors: You can easily maneuver the 6 13/16" (42.7 cm) wide " x 13" (33 cm) long x 1/4" (.64 cm) thick head between standard conveyor rollers to twist and turn the Shoot Poker head to dislodge packages without damaging the package or Shoot Poker. Comes with a sturdy 8' (243.8 cm) long x 1-5/16" (3.3 cm) diameter heavy schedule (1/8" thick) aluminum pole.
