Sometimes the bent metal ends were welded or fastened and the sharp edges of the tool punctured the package or damaged the product. These makeshift tools aren’t easy to repair, causes product damage and are not safe for package handlers or employees.
Globe has created three different jam break products to address issues commonly encountered when using makeshift tool used at distribution centers. Made with Brandonite® 1000-75D material, Globe's jam break products can withstand extreme wear and tear normally encountered at distribution centers, airports and warehouses.

Designed for demanding conveyor applications, the Large Sort Jam Break Pole is a rugged, lightweight tool to clear the toughest jams.
Large Rounded Head Reduces Package Damage
The unique 7" (17.8 cm) tall x 7-1/4" (18.4 cm) wide rounded head soesn't have any sharp corners and greatly reduces package damage and provides an ergonomic solution to increase operational performance and worker safety. As with all Globe jam break products, the Large Sort Jam Break pole head is made of Globe's Brandonite® elastomeric material to provide years of trouble-free use.
Heavy Duty Pole Also Available
The standard Large Sort Jam Break Pole has a 1" (2.5 cm) diameter aluminum pole that comes in an 8' (244 cm) length. For even more demanding applications, the heavy duty Large Sort Jam Break Pole has a 1-5/16" (3.3 cm) diameter heavy schedule (1/8" thick) aluminum pole version.
Small Sort Jam Break Pole
Designed for small to medium weight conveyor applications, the Small Sort Jam Break Pole is a compact tool to clear jams or re-direct packages in close quarters.
For lighter duty applications, the small sort jam break pole that has a 5" (12.7 cm) tall x 2" (5.1 cm) wide Brandonite® head and comes in three pole lengths:
- 2' (70 cm) long x 3/4" (1.9 cm) diameter
- 3' (91.4 cm) long x 3/4" (1.9 cm) diameter
- 4' (121.9 cm) long x 3/4" (1.9 cm) diameter
As with all Globe jam break products, the Small Sort Jam Break pole head is made of Globe's Brandonite® elastomeric material to provide years of trouble-free use.

Globe has specially designed the Shoot Poker Jam Break Pole that allows the head to easily fit between standard conveyor rollers. Made with our elastomeric and resilient Brandonite® material, you can twist and turn the Shoot Poker head and not damage or break it.
The head size is 6 13/16" (42.7 cm) wide " x 13" (33 cm) long x 1/4" (.64 cm) thick and comes with a sturdy 8' (243.8 cm) long x 1-5/16" (3.3 cm) diameter heavy schedule (1/8" thick) aluminum pole.
