Brandonite® 4210 is a new cost-effective polymer-metal composite (U.S. Patent No. 8,487,029) that replaces lead, lead-encapsulated epoxy and other alternative radiation-shielding materials.  It's available in a range of densities and hardnesses to meet your specific application -- from CT shielding to X-ray baggage scanners and is a low cost alternative to lead.
