We at Globe Composite Solutions would like to update you on our planning for possible disruptions to our business arising from COVID-19. At the time we are writing this, we are not experiencing any impact on our supply chain or our ability to operate our business. As we all know, however, this global crisis is constantly evolving.
Although it is impossible to prepare for all possible contingencies, we need to be proactive and prepare for those things we can do.
First and foremost, our concern is for the safety of our employees and their families. We intend to follow the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure that we do what is best for our employees' health.
Since we cannot know if we will have any reductions in our workforce or any mandated shutdowns, we would like to ask the following of our customers as proactive measures:
- Please let us know if it is possible for you to accept your orders as soon as they are ready to ship even if earlier than dock date.
At this time the following measures are not necessary, but in the event that we notify you of a reduction in staff or temporary shutdown,
- We will ask that all payments due to us be paid electronically rather than by check;
- We will ask that all invoices be sent to us electronically and that bank information for electronic deposits be provided; and
- In the case of a shutdown, we will ask that all deliveries to us be suspended until further notice.
We believe that the best response possible to the unknown impact of COVID-19 is flexibility, patience and cooperation throughout the supply chain.
