Oceans 2021 Conference: San Diego

September 27, 2021 Oceans 2021 Conference: San Diego

Following almost two years of uncertainty, isolation and limited contact, OCEANS 2021, a bi-annual event for the global marine industry sponsored by The Marine Technology Society and the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society, gave over 50 companies and hundreds of attendees the chance to come together for a much-needed “welcome back” to the world during September 20th – 23rd in San Diego. Stories were shared and connections were made over three days of enjoying the beautiful weather of California while exploring the newest innovations in the oceanographic world.

Over three days, Thom Murray and Darren Chan found themselves exhibiting at the entrance of the well-attended conference, where the two were able to re-engage with customers and colleagues from the oceanographic community and collaborate on the benefits of ESS syntactic foam. ESS’s high performance syntactic AUV and ROV buoyancy products were a high area of interest at the conference and some of the company’s newest material developments and ongoing horizontal integration were on full display.

ESS was proud to exhibit at OCEANS 2021 and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the engagement and excitement that surrounded the conference.
