Company now offers 102 different impellers

Rockland MA, August 1, 2014 - Globe Marine is pleased to introduce another new marine impeller model added to its line of world-class Globe Run-Dry® Impellers -- the only flexible impeller in the world that is able to run-dry for up to 15 minutes.

Run-Dry® Impeller Model #270 (part no. 01-12-2046) is designed to replace Sherwood 27000K and Cummins 3974456 impellers and uses Globe's proprietary long-lasting, self-lubricating, composite material.

"Our [Impeller] Model 270 is the fifth new impeller introduced this year," company CEO, Carl Forsythe, pointed out. "Unlike impellers made from traditional neoprene materials, Globe impellers are guaranteed to run-dry for up to 15 minutes," he added.

Those crucial minutes could mean the difference between either saving the engine or incurring costly repairs.

Globe Marine Run-dry® Impeller Model #270 is made with a brass core and is designed for water transfer applications. The kit includes an O-ring for easier replacement as well.  The suggested retail price of $85.00 is very competitive compared to other impeller manufacturers using standard neoprene materials.

Run-Dry® Impeller Model #270 Dimensions
  • 3-1/4 inches diameter
  • 2-7/8 inches wide
  • 3/4 inch shaft diameter
  • 11-point involuted spline

The new impeller is available for purchase online to Globe distributors and dealers now.  See www.globemarine.comto a find a local dealer or distributor.  If interested in becoming a Globe Marine dealer or distributor, see Become A Distributor under Find A Dealer.
