Rockland MA, November 13, 2014 - Globe Composite Solutions announced today that Brian C. Evans has been appointed Director of Technical Services for Material Handling. In this newly created role, Evans will leverage his engineering and design expertise to help Globe’s customers improve operating efficiencies and reduce maintenance costs for material handling applications.  Mr. Evans has been with Globe for 11-years, most recently as Vice-President for Product Engineering.

“We are excited to move Brian into a role where he will spend more face-to-face time with our customers, exploring ways to replace metallic and non-metallic components using our composite materials," said Carl W. Forsythe, President and CEO. “His consultative approach, combined with a broad set of design and engineering skills, is a unique combination that our customers will find invaluable in meeting their unique challenges," he added.

“I'm looking forward to spending more time out in the field, working with folks from a variety of engineering and operating disciplines, and seeing how Globe can help drive increased efficiencies and reductions in life-cycle costs,” said Brian Evans. “Our recent hire of Chris Romano, as the head of engineering, allows me to do that.”

Evans has over 30 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, program management, automation, and design. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southeastern Massachusetts University.
